Ms. Sego is a Senior Partner at Robson Harris and heads the Corporate and Commercial department. Before joining the Firm, she worked at the Development Bank of Kenya where she was exposed to complex joint ventures and commercial transactions. Her areas of expertise include Corporate and Commercial Law; Banking and Finance; Real Estate and Property Law; and Probate and Administration; practice in Commercial law matters involving the preparation of contracts. 

She plays a pivotal role in the Governance Audit and Legal Audit and Compliance section as well as focuses on Intellectual Property practice at the Firm and undertakes the registration of patents, trademarks and copyrights. She is a registered Patent Agent, Advocate of the High Court of Kenya, a Notary Public, a Certified Public Secretary and a member of the Law Society of Kenya, the East African Law Society, the Commonwealth Law Association and the ICJ (Kenya Chapter). She holds an LLM from the University of Cape Town South Africa; a Bachelors of Law from the University of Nairobi and a Diploma in Legal Studies from the Kenya School of Law.

  • Acted for and advised a leading motor vehicle insurance company in a proposed complex merger worth USD 30,000,000;

  • Led the Team in advising several merging entities on the legal aspects of mergers and acquisitions including the requisite regulatory approvals;

  • Acted for AIB Capital Limited in its successful Merger with ApexAfrica Capital Limited;

  • Advised and represented a leading group of companies in the manufacturing, trading and securities sectors in undertaking a Corporate Restructuring of its subsidiary companies;

  • Led the Team in conducting Legal Due Diligence in the proposed acquisition of a local institution in the Financial Sector by an international entity;

  • Conducted Legal Due Diligence on AfricInvest Fund IV LLC by AfricInvest on behalf of a local Pension Scheme investing approximately USD 5,000,000

  • Conducted Legal Due Diligence on African Development Partners III by Development Partners International on behalf of a local pension scheme investing approximately USD 5,000,000;

  • Conducted Legal Due Diligence on Everstrong Kenya Infrastructure Fund by Everstrong Capital on behalf of a local pension scheme;

  • Conducted Legal Due Diligence on International Housing Solutions Kenya Green Housing Fund on behalf of a local investment Fund with respect to an investment of USD 20,000,000;

  • Led the Team in the conduct of Legal Audits and Governance Audits on various State Corporations and private entities;

  • Undertaken extensive research on and prepared Comprehensive Legal Opinions and Advisories on varied subjects matters including Energy Law, Pension Law and practice, Private Equity Investments, Project Developments and Property Law;

  • Represented investors in the establishment and structuring of legal entity for the acquisition and development of a project valued at USD 30,000,000 and;

  • Represented a private investor in a Joint Venture with the Nairobi City County Government and Mombasa County Government under the Affordable Housing Scheme valued at over USD 70,000,000 and USD 25,000,000 respectively.
